Sandie Newton

After graduating from college in New York City, Sandie settled in Los Angeles and got her first break in broadcasting as the co-host of FOX's "PM Magazine." She went on to host "Hollywood Insider" on USA Network for 6 years and appeared as a regular contributor on the nationally syndicated "Hour Magazine" and "Great Weekend."

She became the entertainment reporter and film critic for KCAL in Los Angeles for 4 years and received 2 Emmy nominations and one Los Angeles Press Club Award for Excellence in Journalism. In 1991, she was hired as one of the original anchors for E! Entertainment Television where she was nominated for an Cable Ace Award for "Extreme Close-Up."

Two years later, NBC hired her for the network daytime celebrity interview show "One on One" with John Tesh. While at NBC, she hosted "The Hollywood Report" with Wayne Rogers on AMC and became the national anchor for "Primetime Tonight" until 1998, when she moved to Dallas with her family.

While at CBS 11 and TXA 21, Sandie has been nominated for two local Emmys.

She and her husband Steven (host of "Inside Golf," heard nationally in over 300 cities and "The Golfer's Home" on ESPN radio) and their two sons live in Irving.

Sandie considers herself very fortunate to have a wonderful career covering the world of entertainment, where she can indulge her passion for film, theater, art and music!
