News Director
Scott Diener joined CBS 11 and TXA 21 in June 2006 from KTVK-TV in Phoenix, where he was the news director for two years.
With more than 20 years experience in all aspects of local television news, Scott also has served as news director at stations in Louisville, San Francisco and Cincinnati.
Scott has been honored with a duPont-Columbia University Award for journalism and a George Foster Peabody Award.
In Arizona, he served as state coordinator for the Radio and Television News Directors Association and was a member of the First Amendment Coalition board of directors.
A native of Southern California, Scott is a graduate of the prestigious University of Missouri School of Journalism.
He and his wife, Jean, have three sons.
