McKINNEY (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ―
A school resource officer in the McKinney Independent School District is on administrative leave after being accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a high school student.
Police and school officials were made aware of the alleged relationship on April 20. The 17-year-old female student involved in the case attends Boyd High School.
According to a MISD spokesperson, "A McKinney Boyd High School staff member was also placed on leave, pending an investigation, for not reporting knowledge of the incident." That employee later resigned during the investigation.
No further details were released by the McKinney Police Department or the school district.
