Some Cedar Hill TAKS Tests Lost Before Graduation
Jack Fink & Anna Gonzalez
DALLAS (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ―
Graduation ceremonies were put on hold for six Cedar Hill High School students when their TAKS test answer sheets were lost by the testing company in Austin.
The students were waiting to hear about the results of their tests before being allowed to participate in graduation ceremonies. The district has a policy requiring students to pass the test before walking the stage for graduation.
The test answer sheets were lost two weeks ago, but just before 6 p.m. on the day before the commencement ceremony, the Texas Education Agency found the tests.
The tests still have to be scored.
Students who failed the TAKS will have another chance to retake the test in July and graduate in August.
