Police Arrest 3 For Garland Double Homicide
Double Homicide Mystery For Garland Police
(CBS 11 News)
Three men have been arrested in East Texas in the car stolen during a double murder in Garland.
Matt Butler, 28, and Stephen Swan, 26, were shot to death outside a Garland recording studio. A bicyclist discovered the bodies near State Street and Glenbrook around 1 a.m.
Sources say the two were found a few feet away from Butler's recording studio,
Zion Gate Records. Police say the two good friends had just left the studio for the night.
Friends say Swan worked at a Web site company during the day and would then help Butler at the recording studio at night.
Both men were shot several times, officials said. The cyclist who found the bodies told police he did not hear anything, but authorities believe the pair was killed shortly before they were found.
Butler had a young wife and two children. While Swan was single, his friend Sandy Norton said, "He was the nicest guy I ever met, and his goal in life was to get married and have children."
Zion Gate is primarily a Christian music recording studio.
