Pure Weight Loss Clinics Close In North Texas
DALLAS (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ―
Viewer emails quickly came in as Pure Weight Loss Center customers asked about what happened to the weight loss clinics.
In an announcement posted on the company's Website, nearly a dozen North Texas centers have been closed.
Stores in Louisiana, Alabama and some stores in Florida and Ohio will stay open because they are independently owned and operated.
The local centers are taking applications for refunds, the Website noted. Click here to download a (PDF) form.
Pure Weight Loss noted current clients also could contact other weight loss centers like Jenny Craig and Weight Watchers for little or no cost completions of their programs.
"Pure Weight Loss clients are encouraged to take positive steps to continue their weight control success by embracing the reputable service and special pricing accommodations offered by the following weight loss providers," the announcement stated.
Pure Weight Loss split from LA Weight Loss centers about three years ago.
There's no word on how many employees will be affected by the closure.
