why or what went wrong or anything," said Robert Keppel, a national

held without bail at the Orange County Jail, where he is under suicide
watch after Friday's shooting. His mother, Ana Rodriguez, also
apologized Saturday, telling reporters she is "so sorry for everything

East West Bancorp Inc., parent company of East West Bank based in Pasadena, Calif., is buying all of the deposits and most of the failed bank's assets.

authorities were investigating whether an alliance airstrike during an
operation Friday to rescue two missing American paratroopers had caused
casualties. It said it could not confirm whether the base had been hit.
