Phishing scams -- spelled with a P-H instead of an F but sounding just like "fishing" -- can get you into some hot water. It starts when you get an honest looking e-mail that tries to trick you into revealing your usernames, passwords and credit card details. According to CNET.com, more than 55,000 phishing attacks were launched in the first half of 2009. In this week's CNET Tech Minute, CNET.com's Brian Cooley tells us how to avoid getting hooked.
The 100-degree heat can severely injure or even kill a baby. A Dallas-based company says their product is designed to prevent the unthinkable. Baby Alert says their child minder alarms can literally be life savers. The alarm is not sold in stores, but can be purchased online.
