VeraSun, Kroger To Bring E85 Pumps To Texas Stores

BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP) ―

VeraSun Energy Corp. says it's teaming with The Kroger Co. to bring E85 fuel pumps to the supermarket chain's stores in Texas.

E85, which runs in flexible fuel vehicles, is a blended fuel made with up to 85 percent ethanol.

With the addition of the 20 Texas locations, Brookings, South Dakota-based VeraSun now has more than 140 retail fueling stations in 13 states and the District of Columbia.

Cincinnati-based Kroger was the first national retailer to sell VeraSun's branded VE85 fuel, initially offering it in Ohio.
