A former Dallas Cowboy is on the offense again.
This time Michael Irvin is fighting against a lawsuit filed against him.
A process server met Irvin Wednesday afternoon and tried to hand him a ten-page lawsuit, a legal claim of fraud and breach of contract.
Irvin dismissed it.
"Let me tell you something. I didn't steal any ideas from anybody," he said.
The hall of famer is now the front man and executive producer of "4th and Long," a reality TV show that gives regular guys a shot at making America's team.
But three men claim Irvin's "4th and Long" is actually their concept called "Guts and Glory."
The suit outlines meetings with Irvin as far back as 2007. Contracts were issued splitting money, they claim.
The men even say Irvin used their work in meetings with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.
While Irvin admits he knows the men, he said he knows what they are up to.
"I met with many people when I came up with this idea," he said. "These guys are trying to stir something up, hopefully thinking I'll give them some money, nuisance value to go away. That's all it is."
Although the men who brought this lawsuit against Irvin don't live in Dallas, their attorney does. In the lawsuit, the men seek recovery of damages. The cost of those damages is not stated.
