'Pacman' Jones Home Foreclosure Sale Postponed
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) ―
A foreclosure sale involving the home of suspended Dallas Cowboys cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones has been postponed until next month.
Attorney J. Phillip Jones, no relation to the football player, has been appointed trustee of the property, and his office said that the sale originally scheduled for Friday on the steps of the old Williamson County Courthouse is now set for July 28.
The office declined to say why the sale of the home on 30 acres, located in a Nashville suburb, was postponed.
Jones, who was traded to Dallas by the Tennessee Titans this year, has defaulted on the terms and conditions of a mortgage with U.S. Bank, according to a notice of foreclosure sale published earlier this month in The Tennessean newspaper in Nashville.
Tax records show he purchased the property in July 2006 for $1.5 million.
Jones missed all of the 2007 season while serving an NFL suspension that hasn't been completely lifted.
