Pacman's House Fetches $1.1 Million At Auction

TENNESSEE (AP) ―

The highest bidder at an auction of Dallas Cowboys cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones' Tennessee home has offered to buy the property for $1.1 million.

Jones defaulted on a mortgage with U.S. Bank, according to a notice of foreclosure sale published in June.

Jones' attorney Worrick Robinson said the auction held Saturday was a private one organized by Jones. It was unclear whether the highest bidder -- an anonymous man who wasn't present at the auction -- will get the house. That is contingent upon Jones' agreement to the price and Robinson said Tuesday he didn't know yet if Jones would accept the bid.

Jones purchased the home and 30 acres in a Nashville suburb for $1.5 million in July 2006. Robinson said Jones still owes $1.4 million on the home and was hoping to get as close to that as possible.

The Tennessee Titans traded the suspended cornerback to Dallas last spring. He missed all the 2007 season while serving an NFL suspension that has not been completely lifted.
