Saucy Vandals Strike Frisco Houses
FRISCO (CBS 11 News) ―
A jar of spaghetti sauce holds 16 ounces not including the weight of the glass.
Jason Anglin of Frisco knows all too well what it is like when a heavy jar of sauce smashes against his house.
"I come outside and I look down at my porch and I see a huge mess," the homeowner explains.
But, the Anglin's troubles didn't end there.
"The very next Saturday I came outside and I looked up and noticed the sauce and then I looked down and that's when my child said, 'Dad, we were hit again."
The second jar of sauce splattered above Anglin's door. Thankfully, a solar screen kept it form going through a window.
Anglin believes it's a simple case of high school hijinks.
Frisco police say in one week on the East Side of town eight different homes have been the targets of these "drive by saucings."
Anglin says: "This is more than happenstance. Somebody is doing this on purpose."
One could easily joke and call them the "saucy vandals," but to the homeowners, it's not a laughing matter. That's because a $2 jar of sauce has left $4,600 in damages.
Police have no witnesses or suspects.
