Cooking With Kids With Tracy Constant

FORT WORTH (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ―

This is a recipe that I created because when I make spaghetti and garlic toast my kids would immediately pile their spaghetti on top of their toast top it with shredded cheese and devour it.

They love it so one day instead of separating the two I placed the garlic toast in the bottom of a casserole dish and piled the spaghetti on on top, topped with cheese and cooked for 8 minutes in the oven @ 350. They said it was the best dinner ever so I have to share!

Spaghetti Toast Casserole

Shredded Cheese (optional)

Place toasted bread on the bottom of a casserole dish. Pile the spaghetti on the bread. Top with shredded cheese. Cook at

Homemade Chocolate Mug Cake:

This makes a great holiday gift when the dry

Ingredients

are packaged with a mug along with the recipe instructions.

Coffee Mug

3 T Milk

1 Egg

2-3 drops vanilla

3 T Chocolate Chips (optional)

 2 T coco

4 T Sugar

4 T all purpose flour

3 T oil

1. Add dry ingredients to the mug and mix well with a

fork. Add the egg and mix thoroughly. Pour in the milk, oil,

and vanilla and mix well, being sure to scrape the edges of the

cup to incorporate all the dry ingredients. Add the chocolate chips (if using) and mix again.

2. Place the mug in the microwave and cook for 3

minutes at 1,000 watts (high). The cake will rise over the top of the

mug and then sink down when the microwave is turned

off.  Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate. Run a knife around the edge if it doesn't slide out easily.

Great with ice cream!
