May 16 - Daily Soaps Update
NEW YORK (CBS) ―
Here are the daily soap opera summaries for "The Young and the Restless," "The Bold and the Beautiful," "As The World Turns," and "Guiding Light."
THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS Victor admits to Sabrina that he is worried that David isn't everything he
seems to be and is afraid he will hurt Nikki. Meanwhile, Nikki and David
are in wedded bliss. Nikki isn't thrilled to see that Lily was replaced as
the cover model for Restless Style. David explains that it was a smart
business move and Nikki suggests they go congratulate Nick. Nick, Sharon,
Phyllis and Jack await news of Restless Style's first issue. Daniel and
Amber join the waiting crowd and all rejoice when they receive their first
hit on the webzine. Sales are strong for the first issue of Restless Style.
Sabrina pushes Victor to wish Nick well with the first issue of the
magazine. Kay stops by Restless Style for early news on their success.
Nikki, Victor, David and Sabrina get stuck together in the elevator on their
way to Restless Style. Everyone in the warehouse toasts the success of the
first issue. When Daniel goes to get his camera they realize the elevator
is stuck. As everyone at in the warehouse tries to get the elevator back up
and running, tensions in the elevator rise as Nikki and Victor trade
insults. Later, the Restless Style crew gets great reviews, which are
stifled when they realize that Nikki, David, Victor and Sabrina are stuck
together in the elevator. Nikki and Victor are at each other's throats as
the elevator jerks. As Kevin and Jana are wishing Daniel and Amber luck with the
first issue of the magazine, Gloria arrives looking horrible and blames
Jana. Kevin calls Michael for help when he learns that Jeff is planning on
taking all of Gloria's money. Kay warns Jill to be careful around Jeff.
Jill, however, believes Kay is still jealous. Gloria pleads with Michael to
get her money back. Later, Michael tells Gloria she is getting what she
deserves. Gloria tells Lauren that she hopes Fen never turns on her the
Michael has on Gloria. In the park, Gloria runs into Alistair, who has been
sleeping on a bench. Later, Gloria gets drunk and insists on Alistair
staying with her at the G.C.A.C. In a drunken stupor, Gloria mistakes
Alistair for John and kisses him deeply. Alistair doesn't correct her. Lauren
and Jana tell Michael and Kevin to stand by Gloria after everything she has
done to change but Michael refuses. Jeff tries to convince Jill that he is
crazy about her but Jill isn't buying it. Later, Jill tricks Jeff into
revealing his true feelings for Gloria.
THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL
Bridget is moving out of the beach house so that Stephanie can move in. When
Eric stops by to make sure that Stephanie is settled in, she explains to him
that the distance between her and the family will do her some good. During
a visit, Katie's good mood quickly changes when Nick confesses to her that
he has been spending a lot of time with Bridget. After learning that
Bridget has nowhere to live, Katie selflessly convinces Nick and Bridget to
move in together. The caterer returns to see Donna and introduces himself
as Marcus. Donna thinks that Marcus is a tabloid reporter posing as a
caterer and tries to throw him out. After Marcus convinces Donna that he is
not a reporter and not a stranger, Donna asks him where they have met
before.
AS THE WORLD TURNS
Emily and Casey return, and he makes a move on her. Emily tells Casey what
happened in NYC can never happen again and fires him. Casey tells Margo he
quit The Intruder.
Casey asks Lisa to re-hire him, as Emily deals with an inept temp. Margo
gloats over Emily's loss of Casey. Angry, frustrated, lonely Emily fires her
temp.
Alison, Fay and Amy are thrilled to have passed the exam. Chris
congratulates Alison with a spontaneous kiss. Alison asks Chris to back off,
no more special favors. Alison tries to study, but Casey brings her a letter
from Matt. Alison feels obligated to go out for a drink with the girls,
neglecting her studies.
Carly calls Holden to invite Faith and Natalie over to finish a project with
Sage. Lily forces Holden to face their issues. Sage pressures Carly once
again to invite Jack to the play, suggesting he sleep over. Carly says
absolutely not. Faith and Natalie catch Holden and Lily in a fraught moment.
Holden simply needs more time to adjust to being back together. Holden takes
the girls to Milltown and Carly apologizes for tricking him the other night.
Holden and Carly share a moment of rapprochement. Holden and Lily continue
their relationship discussion.
GUIDING LIGHT
Reva runs out of ink while making notes in her copy of the "Always" movie
script. Jeffrey is annoyed that the movie crew has taken over the house.
Reva sees Jeffrey pick up a copy of the "Always" script and shove it in his
briefcase along with his legal papers.
While at the gym, Cyrus is hit on by an attractive woman named Adrianna. She
asks if he's in a serious relationship. He says he thinks so. At the
station, Harley is surprised to see Cyrus, but her casework has her full
attention and she seems distant. Cyrus finds Buzz sitting alone at an empty
poker table and Buzz offers him a chair. Reva and Daisy burst in and the tension
between her and Cyrus is palpable. Harley offers to help Jeffrey with his
case, but he says he wants to keep it independent of her and the police.
Harley returns to find an anonymous note on her desk that reads "STAY OUT OF
IT." During the Cooper poker game, Daisy tells Cyrus he'll never be Gus.
Harley tells Buzz that Cyrus wants to get serious but she's trying to take it
slow for now. Harley invites Cyrus to dinner. Later, Daisy interrupts their
kiss, and Harley is left conflicted. Harley tries to confront Daisy over not
wanting to go to graduation, but it ends badly when Daisy storms off. Harley
has a panic attack and goes to call Cyrus, who is having a drink when his
phone rings. By the time he pulls it out of his pocket, it has stopped ringing.
Harley fights through the panic, as Adrianna from the gym moves in beside
Cyrus. Cyrus doesn't recognize her, so she reminds him.
Jolene tells Reva she has a producer credit now, so she'll make sure
production takes good care of Cross Creek. Jolene asks Reva what "Always"
means to her. Reva says it was her and Josh's word, but is reluctant to talk
about it further. Reva tells Jolene the movie is getting in the way of her
life with Jeffrey. Reva finally tells Jeffrey the movie is about her and Josh's
love story - but Jeffrey's already read it and he's okay with it. The two
head to the bedroom and Jeffrey awakens to find Reva making something at the
table- a cardboard heart with their initials written in glitter - just like
the carving on the mantle at Cross Creek, and they kiss.
