August 28 - Daily Soaps Update

NEW YORK (CBS) ― Here are the daily soap opera summaries for "The Young and the Restless," "The Bold and the Beautiful," "As The World Turns," and "Guiding Light."

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS

Chloe tries to show Jill the article on her in Restless Style, however, Jill is distracted when Cane reveals to her that he and Chloe eloped. Jill suggests throwing them a wedding reception, which doesn't thrill either Cane or Chloe. Later, Chloe tries to talk her way out of the party. After seeing Jack's interview for herself, Sharon asks Jack when the fighting is going to stop. Jack tries to convince a skeptical Sharon to write an expose on Victor's death. Nick explains to Victoria that Nikki left him in Mexico to look for Victor. Paul arrives and reassures Nick and Victoria that he is going back to Mexico to find Nikki. Meanwhile, Jill finally reads the article and is dumbstruck.

Later, J.T. explains to Paul that Jack tried to track his whereabouts in Mexico to find out information on Victor and also mentions the interview Jack gave. Nick is furious as Jill enters with a similar expression. Adam offers Brad the CEO position at Newman Enterprises, and he happily accepts. Brad informs Jack that he is the new CEO of Newman. Phyllis and Nick enter and Sharon comforts Nick. Phyllis watches an intimate moment between Nick and Sharon.

Meanwhile, Adam lets Victoria know that she is fired. Victoria worries about what will happen to the company when Adam inevitably self-destructs. Jill arrives at the magazine just as Brad is leaving. Brad is smug even after she fires him and adds that she plans to sue him for breach of confidentiality. Later, Nick finally has it out with Jack and Kay fears she can no longer trust Jill's judgment. Adam is on a power-high as Heather arrives in Victor's office. Adam announces that they are both moving back to the ranch as soon as possible. While Victoria wonders if something horrible has happened to Nikki, Nikki pays the bartender for information on Victor.


THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL

After escaping with her life, Donna hysterically drives up to the Big Bear cabin to hide from whoever attacked her. When Brooke arrives at Donna's house, she stumbles upon Stephanie's house keys and later confronts her. After hearing about Donna's attack, Marcus and Steffy bail Owen out of jail. Owen reviews the police reports which reveal to him that Pam poisoned Eric. While at the Big Bear cabin, Pam shows up and pulls a gun on her.


AS THE WORLD TURNS

Jack suggests he and Janet find an apartment together. She is overwhelmed but thrilled. At the same time, Brad offers to take Katie on the honeymoon she never had on air, and Kim agrees. Meanwhile, Liberty is acting crazier, coming on to a confused Parker. When he questions her, she calls him a baby and sends him home. After he's gone, she eats another brownie and passes out. Leo appears. Using Liberty's cell, Leo calls Brad and without identifying himself tells Brad that Liberty went to the woods with Parker and she's in bad shape. Brad and Katie rush to the woods and find Liberty passed out with her dress ripped. When Brad brings her round, she says the last thing she remembers is being with Parker. Katie takes Liberty to the hospital while Brad goes to Milltown and grabs Parker, dragging him down to the police station and accusing him of raping Liberty. Carly rushes to get Jack and Janet learns about what happened. Janet goes to the hospital to be with Liberty, assuming that Parker did something to her. At the same time, Jack and Carly go to the police station and believe Parker when he says he didn't do it. Brad doesn't believe Parker, but Jack says he'll stake his life on Parker's telling the truth.

Paul talks to James via computer and James says he's not in jail and wants to help Paul. Paul wants nothing to do with him until he realizes James might have taken Barbara's money. Paul's computer screen goes blank and then James appears at Fairwinds. Paul keeps him hidden when Meg returns home but when she falls asleep, James tells Paul to think about his offer and in the meantime, he will be staying in the wine cellar.


GUIDING LIGHT

Reva goes to the hospital for tests and sees Lillian. Reva admits that she has not told Jeffrey yet because she is waiting to know the results of the biopsy. She feels nauseous and runs into the restroom. Jeffrey goes to Company to hire Buzz for the wedding again and he realizes that he hasn't even picked a place to get married yet. Jeffrey finds the perfect location for a wedding but he cannot convince the tenant to let him wed there. Jeffrey calls Buzz his 'partner' and he begins to reconsider, as his own partner is a lot like Jeffrey. Jeffrey takes Buzz's hand and Buzz tells him they are the happiest men in Springfield. When Reva returns home she is surprised to see Hawk waiting. He tells her that he cannot come to the wedding but gives her his blessing. Hawk can tell that Reva is upset and they share a dance together for her wedding. Later, Reva hears a knock at the door. When she opens it, all she sees is a big red arrows pointing away from the house, leading to an old, ramshackle farmhouse with undeniable charm. Reva melts when she sees Jeffrey unveil a sign that says O'Neill/Shayne Wedding.

Dinah learns that Bill went to New York for a business deal and is infuriated. Alex is able to convince Dinah to partner with Alan so everyone can see how smart she really is. Dinah tells Alex that they have a deal. Dinah instructs Ashlee to keep her partnership with the Spauldings a secret.

In New York, Bill follows Lizzie's cab to Alan's hotel room. In the hotel room, the maid informs Lizzie that he just left and that he needs help because he has been acting crazy. Lizzie is surprised when Bill shows up. Lizzie expresses her concerns for Alan and Bill tells her that Alan isn't actually in New York for a spiritual journey, but he's there to make a play for Maximus. Lizzie now knows the real reason Bill came and she pushes him away. Bill tells Lizzie that he is worried about Alan but also worried that he and Lizzie will never be together. Lizzie tells him that he can't have it all. Bill tells her he wants her more than anything else.
