Friday afternoon dignitaries and Dallas city officials cut the ribbon on the swankiest Dallas public park yet. It's hoped the new Main Street Garden will spur revitalization in the historically-neglected east downtown. During the ribbon cutting, one city leader said, "We hope this will become the major, the primary, park in downtown Dallas."

The Cowboys Santas Recycling Round Up will be held at LaGran Plaza (I-35 and Seminary Drive) on Saturday, June 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Residents are invited to recycle electronics and sporting goods, musical instruments, home and garden items, and non-fiction books in any condition. Unwanted cell phones can also be dropped off at any Fort Worth Hawk Electronics store.
