'Go Green Taxi' Provides Free Rides Around Town

FORT WORTH (CBS 11 News) ― They're in Austin, San Diego, Miami helping the downtown crowd get around.

Now the human-powered taxis are making their way into North Texas. The Go Green Taxi Pedi-cabs have been around the Fort Worth area for about three and a half years.

For Steve Burdick and his team, it's all for fun. They look forward to it all week. They grab their pedi-cabs and hit the hot spots.

Burdick currently has three pedi-cabs. They usually hit Downtown Forth Worth Friday and Saturday nights. They ride around from about 6 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. They usually ride about 25 miles a night.

Friday night, they gave ride to people at the Art Google Festival – for free!

The company also gives historical tours. A 30-minute ride costs $25 – plus tip.
