Here's the letter Lance wrote to us asking to join Jay's Boot Camp:
I am that mid-to-late 20s demographic -- post-college graduate (from UNT in Denton), young professional with the corporate world symptoms of fatigue, stress, lack of time and disappearance of college/high school physique.
I was among the chubby kids growing up and had to endure the things that come with that in a school setting. In high school, I did something about it and completed a summer workout course that led to me losing 40 pounds! Growing 6 inches over that summer also led to a transformation that changed my life. My confidence soared, and with it my personality. The charismatic person I was when in private finally made it to the surface and everyone I knew noticed the improved me! I carried this newfound joy into my college years, living a very active social life.
My fitness trends faded, as did my fitness level. Now approaching 2 years after college graduation, lifestyle changes have begun to catch up with me. Waiting tables through college helped at least maintain my fitness level in that I probably walked an average of 2 miles a night. I traded serving food and drinks for serving up sales from a desk, at the cost of not being able to wear any of my jeans anymore!
I am like many who come from a background including varsity sports in younger years, only to find the entrance into the corporate world as a lifestyle change that has deteriorated my workout regiment!
I live in Arlington and have been a DFW resident my entire life. I am a loyal TXA 21 viewer and have enjoyed the changes made over the past few years. I have a dedicated spirit and am determined to change my habits. PLEASE give me the chance to help myself while helping others through the portrayal of my story.
