Richardson PD Releases ATM Robbery Images
(CBS 11 News)
Richardson Police are looking for several men who they say robbed three different victims at the same automatic teller machine.
Officials said all victims were robbed at gunpoint at the Bank of America ATM on Spring Valley near Plano Road.
The robberies were captured on surveillance video. The June 21 and July 14 robberies showed the alleged gunman.
One of the victims wore a baseball cap during the robbery while another man, who police say is the robber, wore sunglasses.
In another robbery, the man with glasses stood behind the female victim.
Sgt. Kevin Perlich of the Richardson Police Department said authorities believe there is more than one bad guy.
"At least one person comes up with a gun, robs the individual and then goes over the wall," he said.
"It's very possible although they are only approached by one, there's more than one on the other side of the wall waiting for them to return.
The brick wall Perlich referred to is across the street from the ATM.
Police believe the gunmen used that wall to ambush their victims.
Officials also added they are looking for a silver-colored Honda Accord.
