Police Search For 3 Suspects In Arlington Robbery
ARLINGTON (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ―
Police in Arlington are searching for three suspects in a recent convenience store robbery.
The crime took place at about 10:20 p.m. on February 4 at the On Video Food Mart, located at 1922 Park Springs Boulevard in Arlington. A female clerk and a male clerk were inside the store at the time of the robbery.
Three unidentified African American men entered the store brandishing two handguns and a shotgun. Their faces were concealed by bandanas. One suspect pointed a gun at the clerks while the other suspects raided the cash register.
Police said that the trio of criminals acted especially nervous.
The robbers left the scene with the store's entire cash register and the personal property of the two clerks.
However, the female clerk is the store's biggest loss. She decided to quit as a direct result of this robbery. "She's very well shaken up," said Syd Khan, the store's owner. "I mean, she's been with me for almost 10 years and now she's leaving because of this. That's the worst loss for me. I'll recover somehow, someday with the monetary loss, but losing somebody good like that, that hurts me the most."
Witnesses did not see a getaway vehicle at the store.
The incident was captured on video by the store's surveillance cameras. During the robbery, the bandana of one of the suspects slipped down, revealing his face on video.
Khan believes that these criminals robbed the store once before, and were upset because he installed burglar-proof glass since then.
Police believe the suspects to be armed and dangerous.
Those with any information are urged to called the Arlington Police Department immediately.
