Big Texas Toy Run Rides Through North Texas
ARLINGTON (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ―
Hundreds of people took advantage of the nice weather Sunday to witness one of North Texas' biggest toy donations.
People lined up along I-30 and Highway 360 to watch droves of bikers as they converged on Arlington for the Big Texas Toy Run.
These bikers are helping make Christmas special for thousand of kids.
They carried toys on their bikes from Fort Worth, Grapevine and Dallas to the Arlington Convention Center to donate to several childrens charities in the area.
Some of the bikers have been riding in the Toy Run since the 1980's, back when only a few hundred riders took part. Sunday's run was closer to the thousands.
The run started in the three cities at the same time, meeting up at the convention center to pile up teddy bears, games and bikes, all going to deserving children.
