Burleson Man Arrested For Causing Deadly Hit & Run

FORT WORTH (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ― Fort Worth police have arrested a 26-year-old Burleson man for causing deadly a hit and run accident, then fleeing the scene on foot.

Police say they found the suspect, who hasn't been identified, walking in a nearby Burleson neighborhood.  They are now trying to determine if he was drunk.

According to authorities the man illegally passed two cars and then hit a minivan head-on.

Detectives say the driver of the minivan, a 42-year-old Burleson man was killed instantly.  The suspect also reportedly had alcoholic beverage containers in his vehicle.
