Fort Worth Teen Killed In High Speed Accident
FORT WORTH (CBS 11 News) ―
A Fort Worth community is grieving tonight after a 17-year-old boy is killed in a car crash. The teen was apparently going too fast down Boat Club Road Friday afternoon when he slammed into another car. He died upon impact.
Flowers adorn the spot where 17-year-old Cameron Jeansonne's life ended; the spot is now serving as a make-shift memorial. On Saturday, those who knew Cameron gathered to pay their respects.
They came with heavy hearts to pay respect and to reflect on the life of a friend lost too soon. Cameron is being remembered by friends as a young man who loved life and LSU football equally. He was a member of the Boswell High School junior varsity football team. He had an uncanny ability to quickly connect with his peers. Peers like Ryan Applewhite who are now left to mourn his unexpected loss. "The reality of it didn't kick in until we all went to the locker room this morning."
Mangled metal is all that remained following the horrific accident. Police reports say Cameron was simply driving too fast down Boat Club road when he lost control and barreled into tow other cars. The impact proved too much for Cameron, he died at the scene.
Cameron Jeansonne is from Louisiana, friends say that is where he will be buried. They also say this is one life lesson they will never forget.
