Dozens of people upset with the current state of Dallas ISD's financial problems took their message to Superintendent Michael Hinojosa's house Saturday.
They picketed, spending an hour in front of his house, even despite the fact Hinojosa wasn't at home. They wanted his neighbors to hear their message.
Using a bullhorn, DISD parents, students, and recently laid off teachers made their thoughts toward Hinojosa known. "Michael Hinojosa must go! Michael Hinojosa must go," chanted DISD parent Yesenia Lopez. Meca Robinson was with the district for 10 years before being let go last month. She insists Hinojosa needs to be held accountable. "I'm here because there are countless teachers who lost their jobs."
The group says they will continue to protests and picket homes and businesses of every board member until Hinojosa is fired or resigns.
Hinojosa has said previously he's partially responsible for the district's financial problems, but he is not stepping down.
