Defendant In City Hall Case Will Plead Guilty

DALLAS (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ― CBS 11 News has learned that a defendant in the Dallas City Hall bribery and extortion scandal is scheduled to plead guilty to charges he faces on Monday.

Court records show Kevin Dean is set to plead on Monday.  Documents show Dean will admit he took part in the alleged conspiracy to commit extortion.

A trial is set to begin on June 22 for former Mayor Pro-Tem Don Hill, former Plan Commissioner D'Angelo Lee, developer Brian Potashnik, among others.

State Representative Terri Hodge of Dallas will have her trial scheduled after the first trial is completed.
