Vendor Shot In Drive-By At Computer Street Fair

DALLAS (AP/CBS 11 News) ― A man is dead after shots were fired into a crowd of vendors setting up for a sidewalk computer sale in downtown Dallas.

Dallas police Sgt. Warren Mitchell said the shooting happened around 3 a.m. Saturday under Woodall Rodgers Freeway at Field Street when a black man driving a dark colored vehicle with stripes on the lower part of the doors fired multiple shots in the direction of the street sale.

Police say the victim, 51-year-old Herbert Orsburn, was shot in the head.  Orsburn and the other vendors were setting up for the First Saturday Street Sale, an electronics sidewalk sale that takes place under the freeway every month.

North Texas Crimestoppers are offering a $5,000 reward in the case.  Police are asking anyone with information to contact them at    (214) 671-3661   .
