Former Frisco Teacher Admits Possessing Child Porn
FRISCO (CBS 11 News) ―
A former Frisco teacher and soccer coach has pled guilty to possessing child pornography.
In district court Robert Lamascus pled guilty to possession of visual depictions of minors involved in sexually explicit conduct.
According to prosecutors, the 39-year-old used a personal computer and internet account to obtain video clips and pictures of child pornography.
Lamascus taught Social Studies at Frisco High School from August 2005 until February 2007. He resigned from his position citing personal reasons.
In all, Lamascus admitted to possessing between 300 and 600 visual depictions of children involved in sexually explicit conduct.
Officials have confirmed that some of the images in Lamascus' possession were of victims who have previously been identified by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
If convicted, Lamascus faces up to 10 years in federal prison and a fine of up to $250,000.
A sentencing date has not been set.
