Frisco PD Gives Safety Tips After Rapist Attacks

FRISCO (CBS 11 News) ― Police say a victim of a serial rapist is improving and in stable condition.

The rapist is suspected of sexually assaulting and stabbing the Frisco woman after breaking into her apartment Tuesday morning.

Hundreds of residents of the Vineyards Apartment complex, where the attack took place, showed up for a crime watch meeting to learn how to stay safe.

Residents were encouraged to leave their porch lights on at night.

They were also told to call police if they see or hear any suspicious activity.

Police say neighbors heard shouts and thumping noises Tuesday night, but no one called police.

Now all they have to go on in finding the criminal is a grainy video that shows him wearing Franklin gloves.

Police also believe the suspect involved in Tuesday's attack could be linked to 19 other home invasions and rapes through out the North Texas area since May of 2005.
