Grapevine Man Arrested At Daycare For DWI

GRAPEVINE (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ― A Grapevine man faces a DWI charge, but it's where and when he was arrested that is most surprising.

The incident happened at La Petite Academy in Grapevine. Employees and parents said that they noticed something very disturbing and called 911.

Police arrived and arrested 44-year-old Herbert David Jobe. He has been charged with driving while intoxicated with a child in the car.

According to police in Grapevine, Jobe was dropping off his 3-year-old son at the daycare. It was 8:30 a.m., and witnesses thought that the father had been drinking alcohol.

Jobe's blood-alcohol tests have not been released.

The suspect was able to make bond. CBS 11 News attempted to contact Jobe at his Grapevine apartment, but nobody answered the door.

According to state records, Jobe has been arrested for DWI twice before, once in 1990 and again in 2003.
