YouTube Video Shows Suspected Local Hacker

DALLAS (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ― In a video posted on YouTube, federal prosecutors say 25-year-old Jesse McGraw, also known as 'Ghost Exodus' online, tried hacking into computers at the Carrell Clinic Hospital in Dallas.

You can hear McGraw say on the homemade video, "I just infiltrated a very large corporate office."

McGraw did not have to break into the building. He was a contract security guard there. In the video, McGraw showed fake FBI credentials.

But the real FBI arrested McGraw on felony charges for hacking computers last Friday night, just as he started his overnight shift.

A hospital spokesman says McGraw's attempts to break into their computers containing confidential patient information were unsuccessful. But, prosecutors say McGraw did hack into the building's heating and air conditioning systems, which could have affected surgical patients and their medications.

While McGraw is in custody, CBS 11 News found his wife, Beatrice, at their Arlington apartment. She said, "He's not a criminal. He has serious mental issues. He's been off his medication for four or five years, and there's proof to show that."

A company spokesman says, "Ever since McGraw began working [at the clinic] in November 2007, he was a responsible employee who had no blemishes on his record. He has since been fired."

Prosecutors say McGraw, who headed up a group called Electronik Tribulation Army (ETA), was planning to strike again, asking other hackers to join him in a massive computer attack on July 4. He called it 'Devil's Night.'

The FBI first received a tip earlier this month from a student at Mississippi State University. The student works with professors at the Critical Infrastructure Protection Center, which identifies and tracks hackers.

McGraw is scheduled to appear for a dentention hearing in federal court on Wednesday afternoon.
