Irving PD, ICE Relationship Sparks Debate

In September of 2007, North Texans learned of a new policy in Irving used to crack down on illegal immigration. Agents from the United States Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) check the legal status of every prisoner in the city's jail. The policy was met with much opposition from Hispanic activists.
