Arlington Dad Arrested For Death Of Infant Son

ARLINGTON (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ― A 4-month-old Arlington boy is dead. His father is now in police custody, charged with injury to a child with intent to cause serious bodily harm.

Police in Arlington arrived at a home in the 1500 block of Stoneleigh Court around noon on Wednesday to find the child, Jayden Farrington, not breathing. Paramedics were already treating the infant, and rushed him to Arlington Memorial Hospital. He was stablized and taken to Cook Children's Medical Center, where he died Wednesday night from his injuries.

After talking to the victim's family members and witnesses, authorities returned to Jayden's home to arrest his father, 25-year-old Jason Antoine Farrington.

Police officers previously responded to injury reports involving Jayden at an address in the 500 block of West Road to Six Flags. On March 25, the boy was found with two skull fractures. An investigation was ongoing.

The official cause of Jayden's death will be determined by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner.
