Mavericks' Josh Howard Suspended For Two Games
DALLAS (AP) ―
Dallas Mavericks forward Josh Howard has been suspended today -- for the first two games of the regular season.
It's punishment for an altercation Howard had with Sacramento center Brad Miller earlier this week.
Howard was ejected from Tuesday's preseason game after delivering a forearm to the back of Miller's neck.
The NBA found Howard also pushed Miller, who had shoved Dallas guard Devin Harris to the ground.
NBA Executive Vice President Stu Jackson says Howard escalated the confrontation by running across the court toward Miller and engaging with other Kings players.
The Mavericks open the season October 31st at Cleveland.
