GARLAND (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ―
A mother and baby are now safe, after they were kidnapped from their Garland home Sunday afternoon.
Garland police say 22-year-old Ezequiel Ruiz went to the home of his ex-girlfriend 17-year-old Larissa Faulkner and forced her and their 10-month-old son into his truck.
"He started taking off and I heard my daughter screaming," said Thomas Faulkner, Larissa's father.
The mother and baby were missing until about 6 pm, when Ruiz dropped them off in South Dallas. Larissa called for help, from a gas station.
"To have my daughter back and my grandson- I thought this only happened in the movies," Thomas said.
Larissa's family says Ruiz has caused a lot of problems; Larissa had broken up with him, and he wouldn't accept that.
"He called my husband last night, saying he couldn't live without her, that he was going to kill himself," said Misty Faulkner, Larissa's sister-in-law. "I'm hoping they find him. She's not going to be able to rest peacefully. She's probably going be scared."
Police issued an arrest warrant for Ruiz. He is believed to be driving a turquoise Ford F-150, with Texas license plate number
38RBL8. Call Garland Police if you have any information.
