Temperatures Below Normal Across North Texas

Lots Of Rain Seen South Of Interstate-20 Monday Morning

FORT WORTH (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ― Monday: Widespread rain in the far southern and southeastern areas of North Texas continues. Rainfall amounts have ranged from around .5 inches in southern Tarrant County and Dallas County to nearly 2 inches in Mexia and Palestine. The area of rain will shrink as we head toward the afternoon. Later, there still could be a shower or two south of Interstate-20. Otherwise, expect partly-to-mostly cloudy skies. The high temperature should be near 90 degrees, which is 5 degrees below normal. Wind will be light, less than 10 mph out of the north.

Monday Night: Partly cloudy skies. Low near 74 degrees.

Tuesday: Partly cloudy. We will have enough moisture in place for a couple of pop-up thunderstorms or showers. Look for a high temperature near 94 degrees. Rain chance at 20 percent.

Rest of the Week: High pressure builds back in and strengthens. That means back to mostly sunny and hot. Highs near 100 degrees for Thursday through Sunday.
