Car Kills Pedestrian Along Highway In Mesquite
MESQUITE (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ―
According to police in Mesquite, three individuals tried to cross Interstate 635 around 9:30 p.m. Friday night. Two of them made it, but one did not.
That person, a male, was struck by a car. His body ended up on the median between northbound Interstate 635 and the frontage road.
Police said that the three individuals were trying to get to the Town East Mall, located on the other side of the highway. As of late Friday night, authorities were still looking for the other two individuals who made it across the interstate.
The driver of the car that struck the man did stop afterwards.
The accident caused traffic to back up along the highway, leading to another accident involving an 18-wheeler. However, nobody else was injured.
