Police May Have Arrested Sandwich Bandits

RICHARDSON (CBS 11 News) ― It may not be as lucrative as robbing a bank, but police say Subway restaurants have been the target-of-choice for thieves lately. There have been at least seven robberies at restaurants in the Dallas area over the last several weeks.

However, an arrest Wednesday may have put an end to the robberies. While the investigation is still ongoing, police believe they have nabbed the "Sandwich Bandits."

Richardson police were able to arrest two suspects, brothers Kevin and Thomas Curtis, based on witnesses' descriptions after a robbery.

Thursday, detectives say Thomas confessed to 10 sandwich shop robbers over the past 2 months in Dallas, Richardson and Farmers Branch.

Garland police have also charged him with 3 more robberies.
