Crews Respond To School Bus Accident In Dallas

DALLAS (CBS 11 News) ― Three people were injured in a Dallas County school bus accident on Monday morning.

According to Dallas County school official Deanne Hullender, the school bus was struck from behind near the intersection of Midway Road and Harvest Hill Road in Dallas.

The bus driver, a bus monitor and a mentally challenged student in a wheelchair were on the bus at the time of the accident. All received minor injuries which were treated by paramedics on the scene.

The crash was powerful enough, however, to knock the bus monitor out of her seat. She refused to be taken to the hospital.

Officials waited for the student's mother to arrive before clearing the scene.
