TMS Races To Begin Earlier In 2008

Fans at Texas Motor Speedway won't have to wait as long in 2008 to see a NASCAR race.
The track announced its 2008 schedule Tuesday, which includes the NASCAR weekend in April being a week earlier than this season. The slate also includes the IndyCar Series in June and the second NASCAR date in November.
The NASCAR Nextel Cup Samsung 500 is scheduled for Sunday, April 6, a day after the Busch Series race at the 1 1/2-mile track.
The second NASCAR weekend will feature a tripleheader, The Nextel Cup Dickies 500 on Sunday, Nov. 4, the eighth race in the 10-race championship chase, will wrap up a weekend that includes the Busch series and NASCAR trucks the previous two days.
NASCAR trucks will also race at the track Friday, June 6, a day before the IndyCar Series Bombardier Learjet 550k.
Season tickets go on sale Wednesday.
There is still one more race weekend left in the 2007 season, with NASCAR Nextel Cup, Busch and Trucks series races Nov. 2-4.
