Newman Skips Cowboys Practice With New Injury

IRVING (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ― Dallas Cowboys cornerback Terence Newman was again missing from the team's practice on Friday due to a groin injury. But not the one that had kept him sidelined for the six games earlier this season.

The former Pro Bowler has sustained a second groin injury.

Newman had just returned to action on November 16 as the Cowboys defeated the Redskins 14-10 in Washington. In that game, Newman had five tackles, two pass deflections and one interception.

According to team owner Jerry Jones, it is uncertain if Newman will be on the field this Sunday afternoon, when the team meets the San Francisco 49ers at Texas Stadium in Irving.
