Texas State Representative Terri Hodge of Dallas will stand
trial on bribery and tax charges next year. Judge Barbara Lynn has set Hodge's trial date for March 8 in federal court.
Hodge has been accused of accepting free rent in an apartment complex in exchange for advocating for owners Brian and Cheryl Potashnik. The Potashniks were seeking approval for their affordable housing projects. Both pleaded guilty last June in the Dallas City Hall scandal.
Cheryl Potashnik will likely testify against Hodge.
Earlier this month,
a federal jury convicted former Dallas Mayor Pro-Tem Don Hill, his wife Sheila and three others on bribery, extortion and money laundering charges. They face sentencing in January or February.
Another defendant in the City Hall case, Jibreel Rashad, goes on trial on January 19.
