Former First Lady Makes Unexpected Visit To Dallas
DALLAS (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ―
Former First Lady Laura Bush arrived back in Dallas Friday.
Chopper 11 was over the new Bush house on Daria Place in Preston Hollow when she arrived.

Bush was seen making preparations to move into the house. She walked around her backyard, while others worked around her.
While television cameras followed her every move, Bush seemed to be taking it in stride. She even took time to wave and smile to Chopper 11 and our news crews on the ground.
Dallas police barricaded Daria Place and Secret Service agents surrounded the grounds during the visit.
The neighborhood was locked down for a few hours. Police only allowed Preston Hollow residents into the area.
Dallas has approved making the neighborhood a gated-community, but until the gate is built, there will be impromptu lockdowns. Former President George Bush has agreed to pay for the gate.
This seems to be the former first lady's first visit to the house since leaving the White House. Her husband was presumed to still be in Crawford at the time of Friday's visit.
It is unclear when the Bushes plan to move into their 8,500 square foot home.
