Ten N. Texas Cities Listed As Best Places To Live

NORTH TEXAS (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ― Ten North Texas cities have been named among the best places to live in the U.S. by Money Magazine.

The list focused on smaller cities with plenty of jobs, affordable housing, good schools and a favorable overall quality of life.

The magazine creates a list of best places to live every year. The number of North Texas cities was up sharply from the 2007 list, when just three cities – Keller, Mansfield and Grapevine – made the top 100. In last year's list, no North Texas city made the top 50.

This year, Money Magazine named four North Texas locales to its top 25, and ten overall:

14. McKinney
15. Carrollton
18. Richardson
20. Allen
34. Euless
38. Frisco
57. Denton
67. Garland
69. Lewisville
96. Grand Prairie
