Jogger Discovers 2 Bodies In Kaufman County Ditch
KAUFMAN COUNTY (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ―
Two bodies were found Tuesday morning in a rural area of Kaufman County. Investigators believe the two females are the victims of foul play.
Sheriff investigators say a jogger discovered the women.
The bodies were found around 10:30 a.m. in the Post Oak Bend area.
The jogger spotted the bodies in a ditch along Country Road 280, about eight miles northeast of Kaufman.
The Sheriff's Department says the discovery marks the third and fourth murders this year in Kaufman County.
Deputies say the two females were partially submerged in shallow water.
A school bus driver told CBS 11 News that teachers in the area received e-mails informing them that the bodies of a mother and her daughter had been found. However, sheriff's deputies declined to confirm the relationship between the two victims.
