LEWISVILLE (CBS 11 News) ―
A man died in his apartment this morning from carbon monoxide poisoning.
According to reports, an alert neighbor called 911 when she felt chest pains and smelled exhaust fumes.
When emergency crews arrived at the Lakepointe Residences near Interstate 35 and Hebron Parkway, they found a running vehicle in a garage.
John Lee, 28, was found asleep in his bedroom. He was pronounced dead at Lewisville Memorial. Authorities believe this was not a suicide.
"There is no foul play at this time, but we are going to wait for the M.E. to give us a toxicology report," explained Richard Douglas, public information officer for Lewisville.
The female resident who made the call was taken to the hospital.
Other residents also were evacuated.
