Copper Price Has Thieves Performing High Wire Act

WISE COUNTY (CBS 11 News) ―
Some people in Wise County are calling 911, but no one is answering.
Authorities there say thieves are to blame.
Criminals are climbing telephone towers and have cut phone service to 1,100 houses and businesses.
What's up there that's worth risking your life?
The high price of copper has criminals doing a high wire act. If they cut the wrong wire, they could be electrocuted.
They're hitting telephone polls and cell phone towers under the cover of darkness.
The thieves have hit three times in recent weeks. Police say in just one of the locations, $150,000 in damage was reported.
