DPD: Man Robs Elderly Woman In Church Parking Lot
by J.D. Miles
DALLAS (CBS 11 News) ―
Dallas police are looking for a man who preyed on the most helpless of victims.
Witnesses believe the man was stalking a parking lot in Dallas, looking for an easy target to carjack.
He found one and showed how heartless criminals can be.
"I'm really hurt that he took my car and my purse from me," said Virginia Risor.
Risor needs a cane to get around.
The 86-year-old Lake Highlands resident had never been a crime victim before Monday afternoon. It happened when she was leaving the church where she volunteers each week.
"He just pushed me up against the car that was parked next to me, and I fell on the church parking lot," Risor said.
The suspect got away with her purse and keys to her car.
"I kept telling him no," she said.
The senior citizen says the attack left her sore, but also seething that someone would be so cruel.
Witnesses were able to give a description of the carjacker to police.
