Building Demo Knocks Out DART Power

DALLAS (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ― A small section of the DART rail line lost power Saturday afternoon after debris from a building demolition knocked out the electricity.

The private building being demolished is located in the 100 block of South Corinth - that's just
south of downtown Dallas.

DART officials said they were able to use several buses to take the rail line passengers around the affected outage section an onto other trains.

Nearby businesses and homes were also affected by the power outage, which is expected to be restored by 10 p.m.
