Teen Dies, Another Jailed After Crash In Dallas

DALLAS (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ― One North Texas teenager was killed and another is in jail after a crash in Dallas. Police blame the accident on drunk driving.

It happened around 3:15 Sunday morning at Ferguson Road and North Buckner Boulevard.

Police say a black Mitsubishi was headed southbound on Buckner. The driver slowed down to exit onto Ferguson and was rear-ended by a Crown Victoria.

German Pichardo, 18, was rushed to Doctors Hospital at White Rock Lake, but he died from his injuries.

Police believe the other driver, 17-year-old Ramon Gutierrez Morales, was drunk.

He was not seriously injured, and he is now in the Dallas County jail. He has been charged with one count of intoxication manslaughter.

Police believe this crash was the second fatal crash this weekend caused by driving while intoxicated.
